Dog Shaming

Yesterday, I found a really hysterical website that is all about publicly shaming your dog (and the random cat) for being bad.  I was sitting in my office literally trying not to laugh too loud!  Examples include: eating dirty underwear, sneaking on the sofa, and of course, peeing and pooping in places they shouldn't.

Now fast forward to 1AM this morning....

I wake up to Matt yelling, "BAD DOG!  You're a bad bad girl!"

I'm thinking, 'Oh boy, what happened now?' as I get out of bed to go investigate.  Matt caught Bella snacking on the homemade bread I made and had sitting out on the counter defrosting.  You can add that bread to the 11 cupcakes she ate that were cooling on the stove prior to the birthday party we had at our house two weeks ago!  So this morning, what did I do?  I made Bella her very own sign and made her pose with the half eaten loaf of bread!!

Currently. V2

Reading: I just finished a book on my Kindle that was a free download called Between a Rock and a Mad Woman.  Here's the gist: two former lovers running against each other in the governor's race in Massachusetts.  It had a little too much political lingo for my taste, but it wasn't bad and it was a quick read.  I'm doing the Goodread's 2012 Reading Challenge and I'm one book behind schedule, but I have faith.  I actually just picked up four books (The Help, Cutting for Stone, The Postmistress, and The Memory Keeper's Daughter) for $1.06 at the local mission!

Watching: I'm hooked on the show Suits on USA.  The story and characters are so smart and funny, I just love it!  The show follows Mike, who is lying to all but a few people at a powerful law firm in NYC about having went to Harvard Law School.  He is in an on again/off again romance with one of the paralegals.  Mike's works predominately with Harvey, who is in on the sham surrounding Mike's non-degree and isn't hard to look at either.  Harvey and his secretary, Donna, have great chemistry too!  I honestly can't say enough good things about this show and I can't understand why Matt isn't into it as much as I am!??!  Weirdo!

Working on: Accomplishing my health/fitness/weight goals.  When I was at the doctor's this week for some itchy skin funk (Overshare?  Eh, sorry.) their scale said 145!  Woot!  I'm within five pounds of my "Holy Smokes That's Awesome" goal weight.  145 was initially my goal, but I thought I'd shoot for losing the extra five pounds and if I got close I'd be happy.  I'm pretty happy!

Thinking about: Budgets.  Yuck!  I'm not going to be able to keep doing chores at the barn where I keep Louie.  Which means if I want to keep him there I've gotta come up with all the cash or else he goes back to my parents house for the winter... :(  Keeping my finger's crossed that Matt and I can make it work!  Gotta run numbers this weekend.  Fun stuff, eh? Not.

Anticipating: Going to the Miranda Lambert and Pistol Annie's concert at the State Fair tomorrow night.  No doubt it'll be a rockin good time with some of my girlfriends!

Craving: Some time with Matt!  He's been gone every stinkin night this week and I'll be gone tonight and tomorrow night...

Wishing: That Illinois and Colorado were neighbors on the map!  One of my very very best friends lives there and I hate that seeing her means months of planning and plane tickets!

Do You See What I See?!

Do ya? Huh, huh, do you? Just next to the recipe box on the top shelf.  Yep, those cute aviator sunglasses!  My little seester just happened to leave her sunglasses at our house this past weekend when she was over.  Muahahaha!  Finders keepers!

Slacker

I've been a total slacker about posting here, sorry.  I'm sure my one faithful reader (Hi Michelle! *Waving enthusiastically*) has really missed my posts!

Just a few quick updates and then I'll get some content related posts cranked out.  I've been a slacker in more ways than one...
  1. Lack of Blogging.  The evidence is clear, my last post was July 22.  Oppsies.
  2. 30 Day Shred Workout.  We went on vacation and I had some horse shows so I wasn't able to complete it by the end of July.  I will finish up on August 9 and intend to get pictures and measurements posted.
  3. Riding.  I haven't rode Louie or even worked him since July 22 either.  Although I'm sure he's not heartbroken about it, I'm feeling guilty.  Thankfully, he's a pretty good boy and it won't take much to get us back on track for our next show at the end of August.
  4. There are more examples, which include: meal planning, canning/freezing garden produce, getting my library card renewed, so on and so on.
