Garth FREAKIN' Brooks Y'all!

Unless you have been living under a rock or hate country music (which might be the end of our friendship) you've probably heard that thee Garth Brooks is going out on his first world tour since he retired from the biz to raise his daughters SEVENTEEN years ago! 

Cue the music and I'll give you a minute to do a happy dance!

Yesterday, it was announced that the world tour will kick off in Chicago on September 4 and you'd better believe that I'll be burning up the keyboard the morning they go on sale to get some tickets! 


I've been a fan of his music since I was little.  Pretty sure there are pictures of me in my washed out  'Ropin' the Wind' t-shirt washing horses at our county fair!  I've jammed out to countless hits and can't really pick a supreme favorite, but Rodeo and That Girl Is A Cowboy both rank up there pretty high on the list.  For obvious reasons!

So tell me do you love Garth too?!?!  If so, what's your favorite song or album?

    I am so excited about this tour!!!! I hope he comes somewhat close to me. I cannot wait to see the show!!!!

      I was thrilled to see that he's coming to Chicago, but I'm scared that the tickets are going to be HARD to come by! Keep your fingers crossed for me!

    I'm going to make a confession, because I think this is a safe place. I grew up in a Chicago burb where hip hop reigns supreme, and literally the only thing I know about Garth Brooks is that a kid in my second grade class was obsessed with him and dresses up as him in numerous occasions. I have a feelings he is all grown up and VERY excited right about now.

    OMG me and my sister were just talking about this on Sunday. I love some old country! My favorite would have to be The Lost Sessions. We are so determined to see him we will get plane tickets if need be!!

      Nothing compares to 'old country'! The Lost Sessions is a great album, I LOVE his version of Fishin' In The Dark! Good luck getting your tickets bought!

    Wow! I had no idea he was going to tour again! His music brings back so many memories from grade school/high school. "I got friends in lowww places, where the whiskey drownss and the beeeer chases my blues awayyy. And I'll be okaaayyy." Haha! Garth is the best!

    I don't dislike country music, but it's not the first thing I pick to play. I have a friend, however, who will be delighted to hear this!

    I had no idea he was going on tour again, that's awesome! I don't know if I could pick a favorite Garth song either. But maybe Ain't Goin Down.
