Words To Live By #blogtober14

Quote by Thoreau

It's no secret that I don't look back fondly on my high school experience.  It took a long time for me to realize that it was okay that I didn't fit into the typical mold.  At my 10 year reunion, I was asked what my favorite memory of HS was?  Well, that's an easy one!

Graduation Day.

The quote above was on the front of one of my graduation cards and it's stuck with me ever since.  I interpret Thoreau's advice to mean that it's totally okay for me to be interested in things other people aren't.  Just because we like different things or have different aspiration for our future doesn't make one right and one wrong.

It's all about living your life and going for your dreams.

Whatever they may be!

  1. I love that quote too! I read your "If you knew me in highschool" post and saw you had 12 kids in your senior class.. I had 60 kids in my graduating class and thought that was small! When I went to college and told people that they thought I was nuts since they graduated with 300+ kids.

  5. I'm not sure why but this website is loading incredibly slow for me. Is anyone else having this issue or is it a issue on my end? I'll check back later on and see if the problem still exists. Alex Shcolyar
